Ali + Blake
Ali and Blake met at Burning Man, fell in love in Alaska, were married in Colorado, are now honeymooning in an RV across America, and will soon begin their new life together in New Zealand. And I have never seen two people more in love with life and with each other than these two. Their wedding was truly a handmade event, filled to the brim with custom details made by themselves, their friends, and their family. The bouquet was made by their friend, the dress was made by Ali's mother, the food was caught in Alaska and prepared by family, and even the ceremony was officiated by their friend who became ordained just for the event.
They also found me by accident. In a rather serendipitous moment, they looked up photographers near Silverton, Oregon instead of Silverton, Colorado, but flew me out anyways to document the event. It was so much fun getting to not only watch them get married, but be surrounded by and really feel included among their friends and family. The day after the wedding we explored Silverton, ate the best food, toured old mines, and enjoyed the brilliant fall weather. The event was so much more than a simple trip, it was the adventure of a lifetime, not only in location, but for Ali and Blake, as the ones they loved the most came together to celebrate their love. It was so intimate and joyous and amazing, and I am so excited to see where life takes them.
